5K Run/Walk

General Information

(Minimum age 8 years old, and accompanied by an adult if under 10 yrs old.)

The 5K course is fast and flat along the City’s waterfront! Starting and finishing at the Queen Elizabeth Building, the 5K Run is conducive for setting a PR! Following the same course as the 5K Run, the 5K Walk is optimal for a fun and energetic walk for the whole family!

Please note: Bus shuttles are Not available for this event. We suggest using a taxi or TTC to the start area. Parking is available at Exhibition Place.


Specifics

8:20 AM  – START – Queen Elizabeth Building at Exhibition Place

In-line skates, roller-skates, skateboards, bicycles, strollers and dogs are not permitted on the course. For the safety of all participants, iPods and similar audio devices are not recommended.

All participants will receive a bib and wicking shirt. Bibs must be worn on the front and be clearly visible at all times.

Bag Check: inside the Queen Elizabeth Building. Bags must be checked by 7:45 AM. Attach the tag to your bag prior to leaving your home/hotel.

Aid Stations & Timing

Aid stations providing water, electrolytes and toilets will be on the course approximately every 2.5 km in addition to the Start and Finish Lines.

On-Course Aid Station Locations: 1.5 km 4 km

SportStats is the official Timer. The course will be marked at every km. Timing mats will located at the Start/Finish line and at the turnaround point. Results will be posted online following the race.


Accreditation

The Toronto 5K has been accurately measured and is certified by Athletics Canada and the Association of International Marathons (AIMS) and meets all international standards.
